2 cool 4 school
I hope as you head to your Ninevah tomorrow that you remember to give God your best. Remember that it is all about the attitude. I would love to see comments on this blog about how some of you decided to change your perspective and attitude on school and what sort of things happened as a result. We know that when Jonah stepped out in obedience, some great things happened. Let's keep praying for your schools and see what God does.

Heart, Mind, Soul and Strength
Praise God for those 6 girls who stood up tonight and surrendered their souls to God. That was awesome!
I hope you had good a good time in HUBS talking about those 4 things. I pray that you will be able to surrender all 4 parts each and every day this next week. I really feel like the messages the last couple weeks have made following Jesus look pretty tough. Not only is it tough, it is the most freeing and exciting thing you could ever do. Let's keep talking on this blog about how we might do that.
Can't wait to read your comments...Adam

P.O.W. - Freedom
I am writing this just before Highlife on September 17th. In just a couple hours I will be sharing with you a few things about freedom. My hope is that after tonight you seriously think about this whole freedom thing in a new way. I hope that this post will be filled with comments from some of your thoughts on this subject and that maybe even stories of victory will be written from some of you who are experiencing the freedom that comes from Christ. It is so easy to become a slave to so many things, and yet it is so easy for Jesus to take those things and make you free. So, click on the comments button to this post and start writing your thoughts down.

Ice cream, TV and the Dogs
I hope you are able to find the below resources helpful. It sure was cool talking with all of you about immortal the last several weeks. I pray that those of you who stood tonight will truly have the love that it takes to value the hurting, poor, sick, hungry and oppressed people around the world. If you have any stories or ideas of how to practically carry this stuff out, then make some comments below. Also, FJS (For Jesus's Sake) meets Sundays after church in the Student Center to talk about how to do this kind of stuff. You should show up sometime.
Have fun trying to be humble in the midst of arrogance, sacrifical in a country of excess, concerned around those who are unconcerned and helping the poor and needy at whatever the cost. Oh, and remember that none of it matters without love.

Playing favorites
It was so great to see so many of you reconciling relationships tonight. I hope and pray that those relationships will continue to strengthen over time. If you wrote a letter to someone, I pray that you will have the courage to get it to them.
As you walk the halls this week and sit in class and go to the store and do whatever you do, I pray that when you see people that you will see them as God sees them - all of equal value. When you come to Highlife next week, make sure to greet and hang out with people that you normally wouldn't. It will actually be quite fun.
Hearing the testimonies from Nathan, Kristi and Kelsey tonight was awesome. If you have any cool stories or insight about valuing everyone the same, I would love to hear your comments. I have absolutely loved to read your stuff each week. Keep it up.

What are you worth?
Wow! What an amazing time with all of you tonight. I felt like walls were broken down and that people's hurts and pains were unveiled. The Holy Spirit definetly mended broken hearts and rescued weary souls. Praise God for the seven new brothers and sisters that were brought from darkness to light. Praise God for Ethan's testimony. Praise God for the countless hugs and prayers. Praise God for the tears. Praise God for you. Don't forget that you are valued, you have a purpose and that this too shall pass. I am so blessed to have such incredible students show up each week. You rock and you're worth dying for.

Let God Speak
I am writing this post on Wednesday afternoon (April 23rd) just before Highlife. Tonight we'll be watching Louie Giglio's "How Great is Our God" message and then you'll be hearing a message from me entitled: "Let God Speak." By the time you read this, you will have already heard both messages. Feel free to comment as much as you want about this whole thing. We have put a list of resources for you on the blog as well about the creation / evolution dialogue that may help educate you about the ongoing discussion. However, don't forget that God's argument is way better than ours. We just need to remember to keep pointing people to Him.

Let's value human life
Over the next 5 weeks, my prayer is that this blog will be filled with ideas, thoughts, reactions, resources, links and ongoing discussion about how we can better value human life. We can use this blog to discuss the messages from Highlife, post ideas of how we can better value others, share testimonies of things we have done to better value life and just ask questions. Let's use this place to take what we learn on Wednesday and keep the dialogue going throughout the week. This blog can be more than just a bunch of words. It can be about a group of people who desire to take the things they learn at Highlife and apply it to life. So, let's fill up some pages with some good discussion on how we can clothe ourselves with immortality as we together try and value human life the way that God values human life. Just click on the "comments" below and start typing.
