Let God Speak

I am writing this post on Wednesday afternoon (April 23rd) just before Highlife. Tonight we'll be watching Louie Giglio's "How Great is Our God" message and then you'll be hearing a message from me entitled: "Let God Speak." By the time you read this, you will have already heard both messages. Feel free to comment as much as you want about this whole thing. We have put a list of resources for you on the blog as well about the creation / evolution dialogue that may help educate you about the ongoing discussion. However, don't forget that God's argument is way better than ours. We just need to remember to keep pointing people to Him.

I found the video that Louie used to show just how small Earth was, the video continual growth in size of planets and stars.

Here it is on YouTube.

I love how it doesn't even show Canis Majoris in the video, and yet it's bigger than that last star. Phenomonal!

It was so encouraging tonight. It was amazing to just hear about what an incredible God we serve. When he talked about Laminin, it brought tears to mine and Pam's eyes. It was just very encouraging in things going on right now. God can reveal himself to us in ALL aspects of life if we just take the time to look. It was so amazing. I loved it. It makes me even more excited for the upcoming weeks!

<3 Love you all!!

God IS GREAT!!!!!

the video from Louie Giglio was awesome.
He didnt put those gigantic planets into the universal context though.... each one of those big planets are spinning inside a galaxie, that is tiny inside the UNIVERSE!!!

God is so huge. I think what we saw Wednesday night proved that. He is so huge and He loves YOU! I am so excited for the huge things God is going to do in our lives!

Ok so laminin? Coolest thing ever. The black hole too.
Wednesday night just kinda put into perspective for me that God is HUGE and that we are not the biggest things out there. If you cant even see earth in perspective to canus majoris, that means me and my problems and me trying to solve my problems are very very very small. But it also made me think of how special we all really are. We have the only planet with life on it and we were made in Gods image. To give us a beautiful planet and to look like Him and to give us all the wonderful things He gives us, He must love us A LOT. and He does. i cant even wrap my head around that cuz His love is SO BIG!!!!
btw im enjoying reading everyones responses. theyre pointing out some things to me too. =)
Love you guys! ♥
Keep up the good work!

I just found a page with a different sort of image animation to show the perspectives of it. Check this out:

Largest Known Star

I was with my friend renata last night at like 1 in the morning and we just lay in the street star gazing, we talked about how amazing the galaxy is and how we are so little compared to Christ. We think that so much stuff on Earth is important, our worries and fears and problems. But in perspective worries are so little compared to the galaxy, yet God cares so much about how big the problems are to us. Thats how much God loves us.

I was sitting in my recording arts class today and we were learning about these binuaral microphones, that are shaped like a human head and they are used to create super realistic stereo imaging, to make a long story short. you can record a sound behind the head (or anywhere 360 degrees around it) and when you play it back in headphones it will feel like the same sound is actually there! (Disney uses this technology on their great moments with Mr. Lincoln ride at Disneyland) anyways! basically what the teacher was saying was how complicated our brains and ears are for this to work. because we decode the info instantaneously without even thinking about. If someone snaps their fingers behind you or to the the left of you even with your eyes closed you would know where that sound is coming from. and what your ears hear are the timings being reflected from different sources and arriving at your ears at different times.. your brain translates this into a location instantly. Theres no way that happened from some random chance.. it HAD to be from an intelligent designer!

some of you are probably like wow this guy really is a nerd. I am just excited because hearing this today made me have NO DOUBTS about God and I am very excited.. I know that satan likes to sneak his little lies in and make us start to doubt God. God is so amazing to have created everything in this universe!!

So, that "Expelled" movie is playing at the Downtown theatre in SLO this week through Sunday. If you get a chance to go and see it, post a comment on here and let us know what you thought.

I went and saw Expelled this afternoon in SLO, and it's absolutely astounding. The ways that not just Creationism, but intelligent design of any sort, is repressed and misrepresented everywhere. We're in an uphill battle against the unbelievers...and it's remarkably shocking at the extent people will go to make themselves believe there is no God, so they won't have to be held accountable for anything.

I was talking with a friend of mine and he said one of his buddies told him he didn't believe in God, and he replied with, "You know what, you might not believe in Him now, but one day you'll be standing in front of Him, and you will."

No excuses.

But something I was talking with another friend about is that we can't approach a majority of evolutionists with science and change their minds a lot of the time...we can't give them the top five arguments for Creationism. The best thing we can ever do for any of them is to love them. To show them the reality of Jesus Christ's love. This also helps for those of us (myself included) who aren't brilliantly educated in the scientific and biological realms and are unable to debate or argue or counter evolutionistic points or discussions. But we have something they will never be able to refute or deny...and that is a relationship with God. Nobody can disprove that.

It's a good film. Thought-provoking. Watch it.

I saw the movie expelled yesterday with my family. It was amazing. I would encouage everyone to go. You should go with a open mind to let God reveal what he wants to you. That movie that we watched on Wednesday made me not want to put God in my little box.
