Ice cream, TV and the Dogs

I hope you are able to find the below resources helpful. It sure was cool talking with all of you about immortal the last several weeks. I pray that those of you who stood tonight will truly have the love that it takes to value the hurting, poor, sick, hungry and oppressed people around the world. If you have any stories or ideas of how to practically carry this stuff out, then make some comments below. Also, FJS (For Jesus's Sake) meets Sundays after church in the Student Center to talk about how to do this kind of stuff. You should show up sometime.

Have fun trying to be humble in the midst of arrogance, sacrifical in a country of excess, concerned around those who are unconcerned and helping the poor and needy at whatever the cost. Oh, and remember that none of it matters without love.

Hey everyone!!! So for the past couple months my heart has been stirring and I've just felt excitement and passion pounding through me, and the message last night was amazing. As Adam was talking, my heart was pounding SOOO hard because I want go get involved! I've been learning a lot about this generation lately, and I believe with all my heart that this generation will be different Christians than previous generations. I see people who are dissatisfied with easy, complacent Christianity and who want to do crazy, radical, adventurous things for God. I feel like we are on the brink of something huge...I see a generation rising up that will change the world. God will use us to change the world! We have the resources and we have the power of Christ within us that will enable us to do it. We gotta believe it and we gotta live it! God has a plan, I don't know what it is, but I'm so stoked to be a part of it. We are chosen for such a time as this, to be Christians that show the world the life-transforming love of Christ in a real, raw, honest way that will captivate others and draw them into fellowship with Christ. This generation is different. Let's change the world!!!!!

As Adam said, FJS meets Sundays after church at 12:30 in the green room in the student center (if you don't know where it is, you'll see a bunch of us hanging out after church, just come find us). We have money, we have ideas, we NEED people. Please come help, a revolution of love can't happen without people with a passion for God and a love for Him that overflows onto those around them. This group has the potential to accomplish great things in the name of Christ and we need YOU to help. Come be a part of what God is doing, and come with your ideas of how to change the world. We can all brainstorm together and put our ideas into action. See you Sunday!!!!

I just read John 3:19 which says, "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

Last night we talked about how we truly value and love others. I think that when we chose to love ourselves more, and consume ourselves with our own selfish wants and desires, that is loving the darkness. And after reading this scripture I would go as far as to say being so wrapped up in ones self is evil.

Pastor Adam put things in real perspective last night...all human life should be above all else. Pets, entertainment, food, comfort...all awesome things, but standing next to a human beings life they shouldnt even compare.

Enjoy the life God gave you...but truly do what you can to help others in need simply live the life God gave them.

See you all Sunday!

Here's a few resources in regards to slavery and child slavery around the world; I did my English final research paper on it, got some intriguing stuff.

http://www.endslavery.org/
http://stopchildslavery.com/
http://endchildslavery.theoaktree.org/

This is just some. Type in "child slavery" or "world slavery" in Google and you'll get some ridiculous stuff.

Adam showed us that even teenagers can make an impact and i think that if we just remember that our time to serve God is now not later. We can do so many things we just need to take advantage of it. Savannah Keturah and I made about 15 sandwiches and put them in a bag and walked aroung downtown san luis and just gave them out to homeless people. Just to see the reward of the smiles on their faces was enough to encourage me to keep serving in every way I can. We all just need to keep our eyes on the Lord and remember the rewards

Codee, Savannah and Keturah - I am so glad to see that you are taking what we are learning and applying it. Way to go. I love hearing those kind of stories.
